Winona’s has long been a popular choice among Steamboat locals and visitors alike. So be forewarned, there may be a bit of a wait. Located at 617 Lincoln Avenue, Winona’s serves breakfast and lunch items as well as a great assortment of freshly baked dessert items. If you love cinnamon rolls, Winona’s are second to none, so make sure to grab one while you’re in town. Their breakfast and lunch menus boast hearty portions and delicious combinations – perfect before or after a day of outdoor adventures.

Creekside Cafe

Located at 131 11th Street, Creekside Cafe is another Steamboat staple for a solid breakfast or lunch. While you’d be hardpressed to find something that isn’t tasty on their menu, Creekside’s unique selection of Eggs Benedicts consistently draws rave reviews. They pride themselves on using only the finest ingredients, including local produce (when available), Yampa Valley Beef, homemade bread, and many more made-from-scratch items. If you visit while it’s warm, make sure you get a table on the patio overlooking the creek.


If you’re looking for a quick pick-me-up before you head to the slopes or the trails, stop by MountainBrew. Not only do they have a great selection of coffee and espresso drinks, they also have an amazing bakery and a fantastic variety of breakfast and lunch items. MountainBrew has received a number of “Best in Steamboat” awards for their coffee and bakery. Once you come here, you won’t be surprised why. They’re located at 427 Oak Street.

The Rusted Porch

At The Rusted Porch, 690 Marketplace Plaza, you’ll be treated to a wonderful atmosphere as well as great food. Perfect for lunch or dinner, their menu includes salads, burgers, sandwiches, and pasta. (We highly recommend all of their burgers!) They have Happy Hour specials daily as well as a great selection of beer, wine, and signature cocktails. Their tagline is “Your Home for Burgers, Bacon & Beer” and they definitely deliver.

Mahogany Ridge Brewery & Grill

You’ll find Mahogany Ridge Brewery at 435 South Lincoln Street. They offer a variety of unique menu items for lunch and dinner, including sandwiches, burgers, soups, and salads. Their dipping entree menu, though, features some amazing meals, like chile rubbed beef tournedos, each of which comes with your choice of over a dozen delicious dipping sauces. Mahogany Ridge is also a great choice for Happy Hour with lots of wonderful deals on food and drink.

LOW Country Kitchen

If you’re craving some delectable Southern comfort food, look no further than LOW Country Kitchen. Located at 435 Lincoln Avenue, LOW boasts a creative menu that includes Southern staples like gumbo, shrimp and grits, fried green tomatoes, and fried chicken. They also serve a good variety of beer, wine, and specialty cocktails.

Salt & Lime

For Mexican food with a twist, head to Salt & Lime at 628 Lincoln Avenue. Here, you’ll find some of the more traditional Mexican dishes like enchiladas and burritos. But their ever-changing menu also features a number of incredible options for street tacos. If you’re just in the mood for a snack, you can’t go wrong with their chips and guacamole or queso. You won’t be disappointed with their margaritas or their specialty cocktails, either. In the warmer months, opt for a spot on their rooftop deck for some fantastic views.

Mazzola’s Italian Diner

Hearty portions and delicious food are the name of the game at Mazzola’s Italian Diner. Located at 917 Lincoln Avenue, this quaint restaurant boasts a variety of pasta dishes, pizzas, and other classic Italian meals. Their pastas, salad dressings, and pizza crusts are all homemade for that extra touch of authenticity. They have Happy Hour specials every day where you can take advantage of half-price appetizers, pizzas, and calzones as well as drink specials.

Harwigs is located at 911 Lincoln Avenue and it’s the perfect place if you’re looking to enjoy a memorable meal for a special occasion. They serve French cuisine and offer a quiet, intimate dining experience. Their menu changes seasonally but includes a number of delectable meat and game main dishes. Harwigs has the only wine cellar in Steamboat with over 700 wine selections.

Cafe Diva

Another top spot for fine dining in Steamboat Springs is Cafe Dive, located at 1855 Ski Time Square Drive. Here, you’ll enjoy great service, a lovely atmosphere, and, of course, amazing food. Their menu changes regularly but you’ll always find a variety of seafood, game, and meat entrees as well as unique appetizer and dessert options. A number of vegetarian and gluten-free menu items are also available.
